About Us

Our Vision

With Sensing and Laser technology as a core, SUNX as a global corporation provides technology and service to fulfill a promising dream and creates a brighter future with our customers.

SUNX as Technology Company

In 1971, SUNX developed the world's first reflective photoelectric sensor employing LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes). Similar to what the creation of transistor did for home appliances, the creation of this new sensor accelerated factory automation.

Since then, our sensors have been incorporated into automatic manufacturing and assembly equipment for products such as semiconductor, liquid crystal displays and electronic devices, and contribute to build the foundation for today's IT society.

SUNX Laser markers

SUNX offers two types of laser markers, one with YAG laser (1.06 micro m) and the other with CO2 laser (10.6 micro m). Laser marker is a machine that performs marking with laser beams (engraving, oxidization and resin color development), without contacting an actual targeted object. Since laser marking will stay almost permanently, it is widely used in various industry applications such as automotive components, electronics devices and medical devices. Since laser markers can easily update calendar or counter functions which can be more cumbersome and cost-involving to be done by conventional stamping method, it is widely used to record manufacturing history in automotive components and electronics components.

SUNX developed the world's first FAYb (Fiber Amplified Ytterbium) technology. FAYb laser is considered to be an ideal laser source since it can be concentrated into an extremely minute beam spot. With the same wave length of YAG laser, FAYb laser can perform metal marking and resin color development marking. Unlike YAG laser marker, FAYb laser marker is a compact, space saving design, and provides complete air-cooling without consumable parts, liquid coolant and labor costs associated with replacement and maintenance work. With these strong advantages, FAYb laser is getting recognized as a revolutionary laser marker.

SUNX's CO2 laser markers which boosts top share* in Japan's domestic market offers wide selections from entry level model to high-end models, including a popular model with GPFC method (patent pending) to guarantee non-distorted marking under high speed.
